ENGINE OIL SMELL IN AIRCON !!

If you are smelling Engine Oil smell in your Airc

on , there is an oil leak affecting your exhaust manifold. While the exhaust manifold itself doesn't have any vents, there are a few ways engine oil can end up in that area:
1. Valve Cover Gasket Leak: This is a very common cause of oil leaks in many engines. The valve cover gasket seals the top of the engine, where the valves are located. If this gasket fails, oil can leak out and drip down onto the exhaust manifold, especially if the leak is at the back of the engine.
2. Cylinder Head Gasket Leak: A more serious issue is a leak in the cylinder head gasket. This gasket seals the cylinder head to the engine block, and if it fails, oil can leak from the oil passages in the head and run down onto the exhaust manifold. This often leads to other symptoms like white smoke from the exhaust, coolant loss, or engine overheating.
3. PCV Valve or Breather Hose Issues: The Positive Crankcase Ventilation (PCV) system vents gases from the crankcase to the intake manifold. If the PCV valve is clogged or a breather hose is damaged, oil can be forced out and potentially leak onto the exhaust manifold.
4. Other Leaks: Less common causes could include leaks from the oil pressure sending unit, oil filter housing, or even a cracked cylinder head or block (though these are usually accompanied by other significant symptoms).
Do NOT take this likely ! One of our customer was driving with this leak when his car caught fire.
